Accountant – UAE VAT & AML Compliance

About the role

Novel Fine Jewellery FZCO is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its team in JLT, Dubai. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, UAE tax compliance and AML activities within the jewellery trading environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger, process invoices, accounts payable/receivable and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and support corporate tax calculations and filings.
• Assist with internal and external audits and coordinate with auditors.
• Support AML compliance, including customer due diligence, KYC documentation and transaction monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in jewellery or precious metals trading.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Experience with AML compliance and related documentation.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
