Accountant - Zoho Experience (UAE VAT & Corporate Tax)

About the role

A Dubai-based employer is looking for an experienced Accountant with strong UAE accounting knowledge and hands-on Zoho experience. The role covers day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, VAT compliance and UAE Corporate Tax requirements. It suits someone who is highly organised, accurate and confident managing finance processes independently. Real estate and hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting using Zoho and maintain accurate general ledger records
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets and cash-flow statements
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, and perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations
• Manage month-end and year-end closing
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE VAT law and record-keeping
• Support UAE Corporate Tax calculations, documentation and filing, and keep tax records
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, and monitor expenses, revenue and cash flow
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisers and external consultants, and support management with ad-hoc reporting

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Previous accounting experience in the UAE
• Practical experience preparing and filing UAE VAT returns
• Strong knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax and UAE accounting and compliance requirements
• Experience with management accounts and financial reporting
• Hotel or hospitality experience preferred
