Accounting Manager – Arabic Speaker

About the role

The Accounting Manager will oversee financial operations across multiple entities within the landscaping, contracting and construction sectors. The role ensures accuracy, compliance and efficiency in accounting, cash management, reporting and taxation while supporting business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project‑wise profitability, compare actual costs to budgets and Bills of Quantities, and analyse material, subcontractor and labour variances.
• Oversee progressive billing, issue invoices and Interim Payment Certificates, approve sales invoices and reconcile customer statements, advances and AR balances.
• Verify subcontractor payment applications, variations and back‑charges; reconcile vendor accounts and manage retention payable.
• Supervise site and nursery inventory counts, reconcile green assets and landscaping materials, and monitor Work‑in‑Progress balances.
• Manage cash flow, authorize withdrawals, conduct treasury spot checks and perform daily bank reconciliations.
• Record and allocate utility, heavy‑machinery and vehicle expenses, including fuel, maintenance and insurance.
• Track fixed assets from acquisition to capitalization, maintain depreciation schedules and ensure proper asset accounting.

Required profile

• Strong financial background in landscaping, contracting or construction industries.
• Fluent Arabic speaker.
• Proven experience in project costing, budgeting and profitability analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to manage accounts receivable, progressive billing and debt collections.
• Experience handling accounts payable, vendor reconciliations and retention payments.
• Knowledge of inventory control, work‑in‑progress accounting and cash‑flow management.
• Familiarity with fixed‑asset tracking and depreciation processes.
