AML Officer

About the role

Capitalcom is seeking an AML Officer to join its expanding compliance team in the United Arab Emirates. You will be responsible for monitoring daily transaction alerts, investigating potential suspicious activity, and supporting the preparation of regulatory filings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily transaction monitoring alerts and investigate potentially suspicious activity.
• Review client deposits, withdrawals, and payment activity for financial crime risks.
• Document investigation findings, maintain clear audit trails, and escalate serious cases to the Head of Compliance and MLRO.
• Prepare and support the submission of STRs and SARs through goAML.
• Produce AML management information, including alert volumes, trends, outcomes, and escalations.
• Support transaction monitoring testing, rule tuning, threshold reviews, and market abuse investigations.

Required profile

• 2 to 3 years of experience in AML, transaction monitoring, or financial crime compliance.
• Practical experience investigating alerts and reviewing client payment activity.
• Knowledge of AML, sanctions, fraud, and suspicious activity reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing STRs or SARs, preferably using goAML.
• Background in a broker, investment firm, exchange, fintech, or regulated financial services company.
