Area Sales Manager – Retail Banking (UAE)

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead the retail banking sales team in the UAE, driving multi‑product sales targets and expanding market share. You will develop and execute sales plans, build key relationships, and coach managers to achieve high performance.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly sales targets for personal banking products by motivating teams and individuals.
• Identify and develop opportunities to increase penetration in key organisations.
• Maintain headcount plan through attrition management and timely recruitment.
• Monitor field‑officer performance, including phone calls, face‑to‑face visits, and financial results.
• Identify training needs and coordinate programs with the Learning & Development team.
• Develop relationships with senior management of target companies to enhance cross‑sell opportunities.
• Oversee micro‑marketing activities such as kiosk events and direct marketing.
• Analyse MIS data to spot growth opportunities and sales trends.
• Ensure compliance with mandatory training, fraud prevention, and reward programmes.

Required profile

• Graduate degree, preferably an MBA in Sales & Marketing.
• 8‑10 years of banking sales experience with a proven track record.
• Strong confidence, persistence, and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Basic knowledge of retail banking products, service policies, and processes.
