Assistant Account Manager

About the role

The Assistant Account Manager supports the execution and day‑to‑day management of assigned Modern Trade accounts, ensuring strong in‑store execution, product availability and merchandising compliance across outlets in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly sales plans and outlet coverage for assigned Modern Trade accounts in line with company targets.
• Maintain relationships with store managers and section managers to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure approved SKUs are available, correctly priced, and displayed according to planograms.
• Monitor stock levels, near‑expiry products, returns and rotation, and follow up on discrepancies.
• Coordinate with merchandisers and field teams to implement promotions, displays, sampling and visibility initiatives.
• Conduct regular market visits to assess execution standards and identify operational gaps.
• Track outlet sales performance, customer orders and promotional execution, reporting observations to the Key Accounts Manager.
• Resolve customer operational issues such as order discrepancies and delivery concerns.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing changes and in‑store execution, providing market feedback.
• Prepare daily and weekly execution reports covering sales, compliance and merchandising performance.
• Support new product launches at store level, ensuring timely listing, display execution and internal coordination.
• Ensure compliance with commercial policies, execution standards and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• 3–5 years of FMCG sales experience, preferably in Modern Trade within the UAE.
• Experience handling retail outlets, merchandising coordination and in‑store execution.
• Knowledge of frozen food categories is an advantage.
• UAE FMCG market experience preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
