Assistant Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will support the Executive Housekeeper in delivering high‑standard cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction across guest rooms, apartments, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces at NH Collection Dubai The Palm.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring brand and service standards are consistently met.
• Supervise and inspect guest rooms, apartments, public areas and back‑of‑house zones for cleanliness and presentation.
• Plan daily manpower, create duty rosters and deploy teams according to occupancy and operational needs.
• Coach, develop and monitor housekeeping team performance to maintain high service levels.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Engineering to guarantee timely room readiness and swift resolution of maintenance issues.
• Handle guest requests, feedback and housekeeping‑related concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor inventory of linen, uniforms, guest supplies and cleaning equipment, controlling costs.
• Support budgeting, productivity tracking and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, health‑safety, hygiene and security standards.
• Promote sustainability through responsible use of water, energy, chemicals and supplies.
• Assume responsibility for the department in the Executive Housekeeper’s absence.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
• 3–5 years of housekeeping experience in an upscale or luxury hotel.
• Strong leadership, team‑management and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and English language skills; additional languages are a plus.
• Previous experience in the UAE or Middle East is advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, inventory control and cost management.
