Assistant Guest Relations Manager

About the role

The Assistant Guest Relations Manager supports the Guest Relations team at a Marriott property in Dubai. This position handles guest check‑ins, billing, and daily operational reports while ensuring a high level of service and security.

Key responsibilities

• Process guest check‑ins, verify identity, assign rooms, and issue keys.
• Enter Marriott Rewards data, ensure rates match market codes, and document exceptions.
• Handle all payment types, vouchers, paid‑outs, and balance receipts.
• Compile daily reports, cashier and closing reports, and manage contingency lists.
• Provide guests with property information, directions, and assist with special requests.
• Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any theft reports and obtain manual authorizations as needed.
• Support management in training, evaluating, counseling, and coaching staff.
• Maintain safety standards, report accidents, and ensure personal appearance is professional.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related hospitality experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Cash handling and receipt balancing.
