Assistant Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Assistant Human Resources Manager plays a key role in overseeing the human resources department. The position supports the Head of Human Resources in developing and executing HR strategies, covering employee relations, recruitment, talent management and making sure HR policies and practices match the company's goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Human Resources in developing and executing HR strategies aligned with the company's mission and objectives.
• Take part in HR budgeting, workforce planning and policy development.
• Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions and grievances.
• Collaborate with the recruitment team to identify staffing needs, interview candidates and make hiring recommendations, and help design recruitment strategies.
• Support talent development initiatives such as training and development programs, and assist with performance management, goal setting, appraisals and feedback.
• Ensure HR policies, procedures and practices comply with labor laws and regulations, and assist in HR audits and compliance reviews.
• Work with the compensation and benefits team to administer and communicate benefit programs and give guidance on compensation matters.
• Implement employee engagement initiatives, promote a diverse and inclusive workplace, and analyze HR data to recommend improvements.
• Prepare HR reports for management, guide HR team members and foster a high-performing department.
• Follow the company's environmental, health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe and environmentally friendly workplace.
