Head of Support Services (UAE National)

About the role

A government-linked organisation in Abu Dhabi is recruiting a UAE National Head of Support Services to oversee HR, procurement, finance and wider office operations. The role leads the support services function, ensuring effective day-to-day operations, strong governance and the development of internal processes and teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee support services across HR, procurement, finance, facilities and general administration.
• Lead and develop the support services team, including the Finance Manager and HR Specialist.
• Oversee HR operations, employee relations, workforce planning and recruitment coordination.
• Manage procurement processes, vendor relationships, approvals and purchasing workflows.
• Coordinate budgets, expenditure tracking, financial reporting and resource planning.
• Establish and improve operational processes, policies, workflows and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UAE and federal policies, procedures and governance requirements.
• Liaise with senior leadership, shared services teams and government stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.

Required profile

• 10-15+ years of relevant experience across HR, procurement, corporate services or operations.
• Proven experience managing HR and procurement functions, with a strong understanding of employee relations and human capital processes.
• Experience leading teams and overseeing finance operations, without necessarily being a finance specialist.
• Experience establishing or developing teams, functions, processes and operational frameworks.
• Good understanding of UAE employment practices and federal HR policies.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with a dynamic personality and high ethical standards.
• Private sector experience, especially in large organisations, is preferred; government or federal experience will also be considered.
• UAE Nationals are preferred.
• Arabic and English proficiency would be advantageous.

What we offer

• Package of approximately AED 55,000 - 65,000 per month, lump sum (no additional benefits).
