About the role
The Assistant Laundry Manager supports housekeeping and laundry operations by ensuring rooms meet quality standards and coordinating with multiple departments.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pool areas after cleaning to verify quality standards.
- Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies, prioritize cleaning, and update departing room statuses.
- Act as liaison among Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry to coordinate efforts and resolve issues.
- Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments and shift information.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and motivating staff.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related work experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Required skills
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 55 lb unassisted and heavier with assistance.
- Proficiency in using computers or point‑of‑sale systems to locate work‑related information.
