Assistant Manager – Governance, Risk & Compliance (Financial Services)

About the role

KPMG Middle East is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead governance, risk and compliance services within its Financial Services practice. The role involves managing internal audit engagements and providing advisory services on control frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage internal audit engagements within co‑sourcing and outsourcing contracts.
• Provide advisory services on the development, documentation, transformation and organization of sustainable internal control systems (COSO framework).
• Develop and implement a sustainable corporate governance model.
• Perform independent reviews of the internal audit function based on IIA standards.
• Develop, implement and review compliance management systems.

Required profile

• Educated to a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
• Professional certification such as CA/ACCA and CIA qualified.
• 7‑8 years experience in internal audit, corporate governance, enterprise risk management and quality assurance review in the financial services industry.
• Demonstrable experience managing teams and handling multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Experience conducting risk‑based internal audits and developing policies and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
