Assistant Manager – Indirect Tax

About the role

IAS is expanding its Indirect Tax team in Dubai and is looking for an Assistant Manager to support clients with VAT, Excise Tax, FTA matters, refunds and e-invoicing. The role suits an ambitious VAT professional who will manage client engagements and give expert tax advisory and compliance support to medium and large businesses. It is a full-time, office-based position in Dubai Silicon Oasis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage indirect tax assignments covering VAT, Excise Tax, refunds and e-invoicing services
• Support clients with FTA audits, disputes, voluntary disclosures, reconsiderations, penalty waivers and refund applications
• Provide tax advisory support and help businesses meet UAE compliance requirements
• Review tax positions, identify risks and recommend practical solutions
• Manage client relationships and deliver high-quality indirect tax services
• Stay up to date on UAE VAT, Excise Tax regulations and FTA developments

Required profile

• 5-8 years of indirect tax experience, including at least 4 years of UAE VAT and Excise Tax experience
• Hands-on experience with FTA matters such as audits, voluntary disclosures, reconsiderations, penalty waivers and refunds
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work with medium and large business clients

Required skills

• Strong analytical, communication and client-management skills
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and Excise Tax regulations, FTA compliance, audits, disputes, tax procedures and indirect tax advisory
