Assistant Manager Life Underwriter (UAE National) – Dubai

About the role

Orient Insurance, part of the Al Futtaim Group, is looking for a motivated UAE National to join its Life Insurance team as an Assistant Manager Life Underwriter in Dubai. The role involves assessing life insurance applications, making underwriting decisions within delegated authority, and supporting business objectives while ensuring profitability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate life insurance applications against underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Approve, decline, postpone, or modify coverage terms based on risk assessment and authority levels.
• Liaise with brokers, sales teams, medical providers, and customers to gather additional underwriting information.
• Ensure timely processing of new business, renewals, endorsements, and policy amendments.
• Maintain accurate underwriting records in internal systems and support product development with market feedback.

Required profile

• UAE National with Family Book (Emirati) – mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Insurance or related field.
• Fresh graduates with strong academic credentials are welcome.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
