Assistant Manager – Payments Regulatory Governance & SWIFT

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Payments Regulatory Governance & SWIFT supports the delivery of strategic SWIFT and cross‑border payment initiatives across the Emirates NBD Group. Working closely with the Senior Manager, the role interprets regulatory requirements, prepares business requirements and ensures successful implementation of payment programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret regulatory requirements and develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for SWIFT and cross‑border payment initiatives.
• Coordinate stakeholder reviews, approvals and functional specification development to align with governance and compliance standards.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational support for the Payment Hub, driving enhancements to improve efficiency, user experience and system functionality.
• Standardise payment capabilities across Group entities, promote solution re‑usability and optimise technology investments.
• Manage SWIFT‑related services, including invoice reconciliation, budget monitoring and adherence to financial governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of SWIFT standards, messaging formats and related applications.
• Good understanding of cross‑border payment infrastructures, ISO 20022 migration and Payment Hub architecture.
• Experience preparing BRDs, performing impact assessments and supporting project delivery in a banking environment.

Required skills

• SWIFT standards and ISO 20022 expertise.
• Payment Hub functional knowledge.
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Familiarity with project management tools.
• MIS reporting and regulatory submission experience.
