Assistant Professor in Communication and Crisis Management

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Professor to join our faculty and lead teaching and research in Communication and Crisis Management. The successful candidate will develop and deliver specialised courses, guide student projects and contribute to the university’s academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and teach undergraduate courses such as Crisis and Emergency Communication, Strategic Communication, Corporate Reputation Management, Government Communication, Risk and Rumor Management, and Internal Communication.
• Integrate practical simulations and real‑world case studies into the curriculum, using local and regional crisis scenarios.
• Monitor media and social media discourse during crises, applying digital analytics tools to assess communication impact.
• Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and supervise graduation projects.
• Participate in curriculum development, quality‑assurance processes and accreditation documentation.
• Engage with government agencies and crisis‑management organisations to create field‑training opportunities.
• Contribute to research activities, university committees and community outreach.

Required profile

• PhD in Strategic Communication, Crisis Communication, Corporate Communication or a closely related field.
• Minimum three years of university‑level teaching experience with a proven record of excellence.
• Peer‑reviewed publications in international journals indexed in Scopus.
• Commitment to curriculum renewal and development in Communication and Crisis Management.
• Experience with quality‑assurance and accreditation processes.

Required skills

• Knowledge of crisis communication planning methodologies and response scenarios.
• Ability to use digital analytics tools for media and social‑media analysis.
• Strong academic writing and research skills.
