Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil (UAE National)

About the role

Stantec is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to support the Pressure & Sewerage Network project in Dubai. The role requires extensive knowledge of existing infrastructure and the ability to make on‑site decisions while coordinating with service authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage site works for construction, sewage treatment plants and pumping stations across multiple disciplines.
• Ensure progress aligns with the construction programme using quality assurance, quantity surveying and Primavera P3 network techniques.
• Supervise inspection activities of consultants and verify that actual works match planned designs.
• Liaise with Dubai Municipality and other infrastructure authorities to obtain approvals and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 10‑12 years of experience in infrastructure works, preferably in the UAE.
• Relevant engineering degree from a recognized university.
• Strong decision‑making, supervisory and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to prepare instructions, specifications, reports and cost estimates.

Required skills

• Primavera P3 for project network planning.
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
• Quantity surveying and quality assurance knowledge.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality guidelines and infrastructure design standards.
