Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

As Assistant Restaurant Manager at Blue Door, DELANO Dubai, you will support the Restaurant Manager in delivering a relaxed, vibrant dining experience, ensuring warm and memorable guest interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operations and maintain high service standards.
• Lead shifts and oversee the restaurant in the manager’s absence.
• Maintain a strong floor presence, ensuring smooth service flow and personalized guest engagement.
• Lead, motivate and coach the team, creating a positive working environment.
• Conduct daily briefings covering reservations, VIPs, menu updates and service priorities.
• Collaborate with Culinary and Bar teams for seamless service.
• Drive revenue through table optimisation, upselling and commercial awareness.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery confidently.
• Support staffing, scheduling, inventory and cost control.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and operational standards.
• Assist with special events, activations and restaurant experiences.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in a luxury hotel, lifestyle property or upscale restaurant.
• Strong à la carte restaurant experience with excellent floor knowledge.
• Confident, engaging leader with coaching and communication skills.
• Good commercial awareness including revenue, upselling and cost control.
• Passionate about hospitality and building guest relationships.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
