Assistant Sales Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Sales Manager to drive revenue growth within our logistics and freight forwarding business. The successful candidate will manage a self‑generated sales pipeline, prospect new customers and support the onboarding of new accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned monthly/quarterly sales KPI targets (revenue, margin, volume).
• Develop and expand own customer portfolio through proactive prospecting and personal network.
• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities independently (cold/warm market development).
• Build and manage a self‑generated sales pipeline with clear conversion accountability.
• Conduct field sales activities including customer visits, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
• Prepare and submit quotations in coordination with pricing and operations teams.
• Convert new accounts into active revenue‑generating customers and ensure initial onboarding execution.
• Maintain accurate sales data, pipeline updates, and weekly WIN/LOSS reporting.
• Provide weekly sales activity and performance reports to management using Salesforce.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years experience in logistics/freight forwarding sales.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Ability to join immediately (visit visa or short‑notice availability preferred).
• Existing customer network highly preferred.
• Junior‑mid level position.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from sales and customers.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management.
