Assistant Vice President – Compliance Assurance

About the role

The Compliance Assurance Unit is seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP) to lead risk‑based compliance testing across the Group. You will design and execute the annual compliance testing plan, work closely with business units, and ensure that regulatory and internal policies are consistently applied.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Group‑wide compliance testing plan and associated work papers.
• Conduct desk‑based and thematic compliance reviews, assessing control design and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with UAE business units to define review scope, coverage and methodology.
• Prepare detailed testing reports, track remediation actions and upload issues to the compliance issue management system.
• Contribute to the evolution of testing methodologies by sharing best practices with local and global teams.
• Support the Compliance Assurance team on ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management, Banking, Finance or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in a reputable bank or audit firm, with a minimum of 2 years in compliance monitoring, testing or auditing.
• Professional certifications in compliance, corporate governance, risk management or internal audit are preferred.
