Assistant Vice President – Compliance

About the role

The Compliance Assurance Unit at First Abu Dhabi Bank is responsible for ensuring the Group meets regulatory requirements and internal policies. As an Assistant Vice President – Compliance, you will develop and execute a risk‑based compliance testing plan, work closely with business units, and report material non‑compliance to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform compliance testing reviews across the Group and support the annual UAE testing plan.
• Consult with UAE departments to define scope, coverage, and approach for reviews.
• Execute desk‑based and thematic compliance tests, assessing control design and operational effectiveness.
• Prepare testing reports, track remediation activities, and upload issues to the compliance issue management system.
• Contribute to the evolution of testing methodologies and share best practices with local and global teams.
• Assist team members with ad‑hoc tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management, Banking, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a reputable bank or auditing firm.
• At least 2 years of experience in compliance monitoring, testing, or auditing.
• Professional certification in compliance, corporate governance, risk management or internal audit is preferred.
