Assistant/Associate Professor in Special Education

About the role

The university seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor to lead teaching and research in Special Education. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality courses, mentor future teachers, and develop an active research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Teach core Special Education subjects such as assessment, IEP development, instructional strategies, behavior management, inclusion practices, and assistive technologies.
• Design and implement evidence‑based instructional plans and interventions across diverse educational settings.
• Establish and supervise a research program involving students, focusing on inclusion, assistive technology, intervention effectiveness, and family‑school partnerships.
• Contribute to curriculum enhancement, e‑learning strategies, and innovative instructional methods.
• Participate in university initiatives, propose community‑engaged projects, and organize conferences, seminars, workshops, and partnerships with local educational and rehabilitation institutions.

Required profile

• PhD in Special Education or a closely related field.
• 2‑5 years of university teaching experience and at least 5 years of professional experience in Special Education.
• Published research in Scopus‑indexed international journals.
• Demonstrated commitment to curriculum renewal and best practices in Special Education.
• Extensive experience working with individuals with special needs.
