Assistant/Associate/Professor – Education Leadership in Practice

About the role

The University of Manchester – Dubai is seeking an academic to teach and supervise students on the MA Education Leadership in Practice (ELiP) programme. The role involves high‑quality, research‑informed teaching, scholarly activity of international standing, and engagement with partners across the MENA region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver innovative teaching and project supervision for the ELiP programme, focusing on educational leadership and management.
• Review and update course content regularly in consultation with programme directors.
• Integrate research into teaching, supervise postgraduate research, and publish in academic or practitioner‑oriented journals.
• Lead external engagement, building links with educational bodies, employers and professional organisations across the MENA region.
• Contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, academic committees and strategic administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Final degree and completed PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Relevant professional experience enabling credible teaching and project supervision, preferably in the UAE.
• Evidence of scholarly activity with publications in reputable journals.
• Record of knowledge transfer and external engagement with educational organisations and professional bodies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to travel internationally for programme delivery.
