Associate Director - Legal

About the role

Dubai Holding Real Estate is seeking an Associate Director – Legal to provide timely and accurate legal advice and risk assessment across its portfolio of construction and real‑estate projects. The role supports senior management in mitigating legal exposure and guiding decision‑making on contractual matters.

Key responsibilities

• Review and draft construction contracts using the Group’s template terms, identifying and advising on key risks.
• Amend template terms to meet commercial and legal requirements and communicate contractual changes.
• Provide legal advice on live projects, including remedies for contractor performance issues such as delays or insolvency.
• Prepare contractual notices and correspondence to ensure compliance with agreements.
• Support pre‑dispute and dispute resolution matters, including arbitration preparation and conduct.
• Liaise with business units to obtain authorisation for external counsel and experts, acting as primary contact for external legal parties.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of relevant legal experience, preferably in construction and real‑estate sectors.
• Proven ability to assess legal risk and provide clear, actionable advice to senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing relationships with external counsel and experts.
