Associate – Project Controls

About the role

The Associate – Project Controls will support the delivery of large multidisciplinary design and engineering projects across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Reporting to senior project leadership, the role is responsible for establishing robust planning and control processes, monitoring performance, and providing accurate forecasts to enable effective decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the project baseline programme in line with contractual requirements.
• Create detailed design schedules covering all disciplines, stages, deliverables, reviews and approvals.
• Define work breakdown structures, activity coding, logic, calendars, resources and constraints.
• Maintain integrated master programmes and detailed Level 3/Level 4 schedules as needed.
• Monitor critical‑path activities, float, key interfaces and overall schedule performance.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to capture accurate activity status and forecast dates.
• Assess the impact of scope changes, client instructions and technical interfaces on the schedule.
• Prepare short‑term and look‑ahead programmes to support delivery priorities for each design stage.
• Establish project controls processes, track performance metrics and identify emerging risks and delays.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading planning and project controls for major engineering or construction projects.
• Strong analytical ability to monitor schedule performance and forecast project outcomes.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with project directors, managers, design leads, commercial teams and clients.
• Ability to interpret contractual obligations and integrate them into project programmes.
