About the role
The Associate Sanction Analyst will review sanctions‑related payments and name‑screening alerts to ensure compliance with international and local regulations. This position reports to the Head of Sanctions and works closely with senior officers.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate sanctions alerts as a Level 1/2 reviewer and decide whether to clear, block, or close alerts.
- Document investigations, prepare reports, and maintain SLA compliance.
- Stay updated on changes to UN, EU, UK, and US OFAC sanctions regulations.
- Escalate significant matters to Sanction Management and support training delivery.
Required profile
- Good understanding of UN, EU, UK and US (OFAC) sanctions regulations.
- Experience reviewing payments, trade transactions and name‑screening alerts.
- Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using compliance screening systems.
- Report writing and analytical skills.
