Associate Vice President - Mutual Funds & Wealth Lending

About the role

This role leads the strategy, product development and delivery of the Mutual Funds and Wealth Lending product suite at one of the UAE's leading banks. It covers the fund lifecycle, Lombard lending and portfolio-backed financing, vendor partnerships, product launch and execution, and sales enablement.

Key responsibilities

• Own the strategy, roadmap and commercial positioning of the product suite, define target clients and value propositions, and align with the bank's Wealth Management strategy
• Lead the end-to-end fund lifecycle, including sourcing, due diligence, onboarding, monitoring and review, and set fund scorecards, watchlists and governance frameworks
• Manage Lombard lending and portfolio-backed financing, including collateral eligibility, LTV structures, risk controls and lending policy with Credit Risk
• Build and manage relationships with asset managers, fund platforms, custodians and other partners, negotiating fees and preferred share classes
• Drive product launches, operating models, digitization and automation, and monitor performance through KPIs and management reporting
• Ensure regulatory compliance, product governance, suitability, disclosure and client protection, and manage market, credit, operational and product risks
• Partner with Relationship Managers and Investment Advisors to drive sales, develop investment themes and campaigns, and deliver training and client content

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline
• CFA, CWM, CAIA or similar qualifications are highly advantageous
• 7-10+ years of experience in Wealth Management, Investment Products, Product Development, Investment Advisory, Asset Management or Financial Services
• Strong experience managing mutual funds, investment platforms or wealth products; exposure to wealth lending and Lombard lending is highly desirable
• Proven track record of developing investment products and strategic partnerships
