Audio Visual Technician – Hotel Franchised

About the role

The Audio Visual Technician is the technical backbone for events and meetings at Grand Mercure Business Bay, a premium Accor hotel in Dubai. You will ensure flawless operation of all AV systems for conferences, weddings, banquets and entertainment events, contributing to memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and dismantle professional AV equipment for a variety of events, performing pre‑event checks against Banquet Event Orders.
• Manage live sound mixing, lighting, video switching and LED displays during events, adjusting settings to maintain optimal quality.
• Configure and support video‑conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams for hybrid meetings.
• Provide on‑site technical support for VIP guests and high‑profile events, troubleshooting microphones, speakers, mixers, projectors and other AV gear.
• Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections and basic repairs, and coordinate major repairs with external suppliers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, ensure proper storage and cable management, and support the installation of new AV systems.
