Audit & Assurance Associate – Financial Instruments (Dubai)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Associate in Audit & Assurance focused on Financial Instruments to join its Dubai team. You will support audit engagements, work on treasury and derivative valuations, and apply emerging technologies such as AI to improve audit quality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with financial instrument testing and documentation on external audit engagements.
• Research accounting treatment for treasury transactions and support hedge accounting and derivative valuation analyses.
• Perform control testing across the treasury lifecycle and contribute to IFRS 9/FRS 102 applications and impairment models.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues to address technical accounting queries and summarize findings.
• Apply AI tools in audit contexts, ensuring professional scepticism, data integrity, and compliance with firm‑approved AI governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (reading, speaking, writing).
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to personal learning and development.
