Audit & Assurance Manager – Deloitte Middle East

About the role

Deloitte Middle East is seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to lead audit engagements across the region. You will work with a diverse client base, applying Deloitte’s methodology to deliver high‑quality audit outcomes while building trust with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility by meeting multiple stakeholder needs and providing constructive challenge on engagement issues.
• Review documentation of transaction flows and test relevant controls early in the audit cycle to assess the audit approach and control environment.
• Suggest mitigating testing when controls are ineffective, applying professional scepticism to consider broader impacts such as fraud risk.
• Identify opportunities to add value, integrate specialist expertise, and enhance stakeholder outcomes.
• Participate in group risk assessment scoping and prepare timely referral instructions for component auditors.
• Run regular file checks, ensure all audit points are cleared, and select appropriate file structures for each engagement.
• Engage early with scheduling, communicate expectations, responsibilities, and deadlines to the extended engagement team.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to balance stakeholder needs while delivering constructive challenge.
• Strong analytical mindset with professional scepticism and awareness of fraud and misstatement risks.
• Proactive approach to adding value and leveraging firm‑wide expertise.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with component auditors and internal teams.
• Experience in managing audit engagements, including risk assessment and file management.
