AVP Internal Audit – Technology & Cybersecurity (UAE Nationals)

About the role

The AVP Internal Audit will lead audit assurance activities focused on Technology and Cybersecurity within Citibank UAE. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit reports, advising business units on risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in cross‑discipline audits, draft audit reports and present findings to business stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure audit coverage aligns with applicable requirements.
• Conduct audit validations, risk assessments and ongoing business monitoring.
• Adhere to internal audit standards, policies and budgets while meeting established timelines.
• Apply professional judgement to evaluate risks, escalating significant issues as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement through data‑analytics and AI tools to enhance audit efficiency.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to deepen business understanding.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of relevant audit experience, preferably in technology or cybersecurity.
• Solid understanding of technology, cybersecurity and the related regulatory environment.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, ACAMS) are preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, project management and influencing skills.
• Ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment.
