Banquet Captain – Al Wadi, Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

The Banquet Captain will lead service for group functions at Al Wadi, ensuring seamless coordination between the kitchen, stewards and guests. This role is pivotal in delivering the Gold Standards of service that define The Ritz‑Carlton experience.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate service needs to chefs and stewards throughout functions.
• Prepare and present checks to group contacts for payment.
• Ensure banquet rooms, restaurants and coffee‑break areas are ready for service, including proper centrepieces.
• Inspect cleanliness and presentation of china, glass and silver before use.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Communicate dietary requirements, allergies and special requests to the kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and adhere to safety and security policies.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, ensuring satisfaction throughout the event.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience in food and beverage or banquet operations.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 25 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and adherence to company policies.
