Barista

About the role

NH Collection Dubai The Palm, part of Minor Hotels, is looking for a passionate, service-oriented Barista to join its Food & Beverage team. You will prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages while giving guests warm, friendly and professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea and other beverages according to recipes and hotel standards.
• Take guest orders accurately, give recommendations and support upselling of beverages, pastries and other menu items.
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation and temperature of all drinks served.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders and other equipment correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and service areas.
• Monitor stock levels, help with requisitions and inventory control, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
• Process orders and guest bills accurately using the POS system.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, health and safety and hotel procedures, and assist with opening and closing duties.

Required profile

• Previous barista experience, preferably in a hotel, café or restaurant.
• Passion for hospitality and excellent guest service.
• Friendly, positive personality with good communication skills.
• Good command of spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a busy environment and flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso-based beverages and coffee equipment.
• Basic latte art skills are an advantage.
