Building Engineering Services Business Group Manager - Middle East

About the role

HDR is seeking a senior leader to oversee its Building Engineering Services Business Group across the Middle East and the UK. The role focuses on operational excellence, staff development, and delivering high‑quality services to clients in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for operations in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring timely, quality project delivery.
• Drive business development across the Middle East, identifying new opportunities and supporting growth initiatives.
• Manage team utilization and staffing levels to align resources with project demand and backlog.
• Develop and maintain regional business group programs, including quality assurance, production standards, and technical services.
• Establish external teaming relationships and represent HDR in industry associations.
• Collaborate with regional managers and directors to anticipate market trends and achieve P&L targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related professional field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience leading diverse teams in building engineering services.
• Proven business development experience with a track record of regional growth.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work cooperatively with regional and local managers.
• Residency in the UK and commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
