Bursar & Administrative Officer – Early Childhood Nursery

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Bursar and Administrative Officer to support the financial and administrative operations of Jumeirah International Nurseries in Dubai. The role combines day‑to‑day bookkeeping, fee collection and liaison with parents, ensuring compliance with accounting and VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting tasks including invoicing, accounts receivable and payable.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and ensure they meet head‑office standards.
• Administer bank accounts, petty cash and related financial transactions.
• Monitor outstanding fees, follow up on collections and prepare cash‑flow forecasts.
• Prepare and publish monthly financial reports and statements on time.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Provide financial and administrative support to nursery management.
• Act as the primary contact for parents on fee‑related queries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting, financial and VAT regulations.
• Collaborate with head office and nursery teams to resolve queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer‑service orientation and ability to work well with colleagues, management and parents.
