Business Development Associate - Dubai

About the role

AQR Capital Management, a global investment firm founded in 1998, is hiring a full-time Associate to join its EMEA Business Development group in Dubai. The group supports AQR's clients in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, foundations, endowments, family offices and private banks. The associate covers a meaningful part of the Tier 2 and 3 client base within the first 18 months.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior Business Development team members in building and deepening relationships with investors.
• Develop strong knowledge of AQR products and asset classes and show interest in the industry.
• Update marketing materials and coordinate the distribution of white papers, webinars and analysis.
• Complete Requests for Proposals, Information Requests and Due Diligence Questionnaires accurately and on time.
• Work with portfolio managers to prepare presentation materials and act as a point of contact for investor inquiries, coordinating responses and client meetings and conference calls.
• Represent AQR at conferences, seminars and road shows.
• Assist the Managing Director in developing a sales strategy for the Middle East and sovereign wealth funds globally.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business or a science, quantitative or engineering program; MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
• 3+ years of post-undergraduate experience in a professional services environment; financial services, investment management or management consulting background is a plus.
• Arabic speaking is preferred.
• Self-starter with excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, able to work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Knowledge of finance and the investment management industry.
