Business Development Associate (Portuguese Speaker)

About the role

Kayana helps small and medium-sized businesses compete with larger ones through technology such as point-of-sale systems and self-service kiosks, with operations across the USA, UK, Europe, Australia and the Middle East. It is looking for an enthusiastic, results-driven Business Development Associate (Portuguese speaker) for its Dubai team. The role combines inbound and outbound sales: converting inbound enquiries while proactively generating leads through outreach and relationship building.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and convert inbound enquiries by phone, email, WhatsApp (if applicable) and live chat
• Generate new leads through cold calling, outreach campaigns, referrals, networking and market research
• Qualify prospects, understand their needs and explain Kayana's value proposition
• Maintain a healthy pipeline and own the sales process from qualification to closing and handover
• Prepare quotations and proposals, follow up and negotiate commercial terms within approved guidelines
• Maintain accurate CRM records of activities, pipeline stages, notes and forecasts
• Work with Product, Customer Support and Operations teams, and share market feedback
• Achieve and exceed individual KPIs and sales targets

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or business development (B2B preferred; telesales/inside sales an advantage)
• Proven ability to close inbound leads and build pipeline through outbound prospecting
• Strong communication, negotiation and objection-handling skills
• Comfortable working with targets, activity metrics and fast-turnaround sales cycles
• Fluent spoken and written Portuguese is essential
