Business Development Manager - Power & Energy Solutions

About the role

Talent Specialist Limited is recruiting on behalf of its client, a global provider of integrated power and energy solutions offering containerized and customized power units up to 50 MW, gas turbine turnkey sets, gensets and mobile gas turbine units, together with waste-heat recovery and microgrid solutions. The Business Development Manager will drive market expansion and secure commercial contracts in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and qualify end-user customers such as gas power plants, large-scale energy storage, oil and gas sites and industrial users, and turn opportunities into signed contracts.
• Lead commercial negotiations, take part in tenders and bids, and manage customer relationships through project execution to handover.
• Build and run territory sales plans to meet annual revenue targets, and manage the sales pipeline and forecasting.
• Monitor local industry and regulatory trends, carry out market research and produce market analysis reports.
• Build relationships with local government, strategic partners, distributors and agents, and represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
• Work with technical, bidding, project delivery and after-sales teams on feasibility, grid connection and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Power/Electrical, Mechanical or a related STEM discipline.
• Proven experience developing end-user markets in the power sector, including grid-connection procedures and work with national or regional utilities.
• Track record in overseas projects or with international clients in the power sector.
• Fluent English; a second language is an advantage.
• Commercial acumen, negotiation and project management skills, willingness to travel and work in multicultural teams.
