About the role
The CCR Operator monitors and controls power and water unit operations from the plant’s control room, ensuring steady production and compliance with ACWA NOMAC’s work instructions, quality, and HSSE standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate assigned unit via control panel, adjust conditions, and take corrective actions during abnormalities.
- Maintain radio contact with field operators, update registers and logs, and ensure proper shift handover.
- Diagnose equipment faults, raise work requests, and coordinate lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
- Provide on‑the‑job training to junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Technical Diploma in Engineering.
- 3‑5 years of control‑room experience in power or water desalination units.
- Strong attention to detail and knowledge of HSE and quality standards.
Required skills
- Operating systems: DCS, SCADA, PLC.
- Downtime analysis and problem‑solving tools.
- Knowledge of power and water desalination processes.
- Mentoring, coaching, and people‑management abilities.
