Electrical Technician - CandP Dubai Airport

About the role

The Electrical Technician will perform electrical checks, inspections, testing and maintenance on refuelling vehicles, mobile equipment and airport facilities managed by BP at Dubai Airport. The role supports the Maintenance Supervisor and ensures all activities comply with BP regulations, local legislation and HSSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on dispensers, refuellers, vehicles and aviation equipment.
• Record all maintenance actions in SAP or prescribed formats and issue work permits as an authorised Permit to Work signatory.
• Act as deputy for the Maintenance Supervisor when required and support HSSE initiatives.
• Continuously seek improvements in safety, reliability and efficiency of operational equipment.

Required profile

• Engineering Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Automobile or related field.
• Extensive experience in aviation refuelling or major automotive maintenance environments.
• Valid UAE driving licence and fluent English (spoken and written).
• Knowledge of electric‑vehicle maintenance, OBD diagnostics and PLC systems is an advantage.

Required skills

• Electrical inspection, testing and repair techniques.
• Use of vehicle diagnostic tools (OBD scanner) and PLC programming.
• Proficiency with SAP for maintenance documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) competence.
