About the role

The Charge Nurse for Tower D4 in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and maintaining the highest standards of care within the unit.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day activities of the PICU, coordinating schedules, assignments and patient care plans.
• Act as the primary clinical resource, providing guidance and support to multidisciplinary staff.
• Delegate tasks and supervise support personnel according to their training level and patient acuity.
• Uphold ethical and moral standards, aligning actions with the hospital’s mission, vision and values.
• Monitor and improve operational efficiency, addressing any issues that affect patient flow or staff performance.
