Chief Operating Officer

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer will lead day‑to‑day operational management of BloFin’s Exchange Services business, ensuring seamless platform, trading, client service, and settlement operations while complying with VARA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational execution across client onboarding, trading, settlement coordination, withdrawals, support, and incident handling.
• Manage exchange venue performance, market conduct, and operational controls in line with VARA requirements.
• Coordinate with the VARA‑licensed custodian on deposits, withdrawals, reconciliations and ensure no direct control of client wallets.
• Lead vendor performance, SLA monitoring, and outsourcing due diligence.
• Maintain business continuity, incident response, and regulatory reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Technology, Engineering, Economics or related field.
• 8–10 years of operational leadership in financial services, fintech, exchanges or regulated technology platforms.
• Experience in regulated environments with compliance, risk and audit interaction.

Required skills

• Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, COBIT, Six Sigma (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of exchange operations, settlement, reconciliation and custody integration.
• Familiarity with digital platforms, APIs, blockchain analytics and technology vendors.
