Civil Inspector – Project Supervision in Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civil Inspector to join our supervision team on a major project in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will ensure that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, monitor and inspect all contractor activities on site against shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and ITPs.
• Verify that workmanship and materials meet required quality levels and maintain progress records for interim payment reviews.
• Document and report any site issues that could affect cost or schedule, and liaise fairly yet firmly with the contractor.
• Enforce HSE rules, review daily reports, and approve day‑work records submitted by the contractor.
• Witness material sampling and testing, inspect deliveries, and keep detailed records.
• Review weekly and monthly progress reports, attend technical meetings, and support the resident engineer in issue resolution.
• Conduct inspections during snagging, de‑snagging and hand‑over phases, and monitor rectification work during the defects liability period.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years total experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE and 3 years in engineering consultancy.
• Proven experience on Abu Dhabi projects.
