Commercial Manager

About the role

Kent Data Centres is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead cost and contract administration for major data‑centre projects. You will ensure financial control, contractual compliance, and risk mitigation across the project lifecycle, supporting the delivery of resilient digital infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project expenditure, prepare cost reports and forecast cash flow.
• Lead contract administration for FIDIC and bespoke contracts, managing notices, instructions and correspondence.
• Review interim payment applications, certify payments and manage variations.
• Assess and negotiate change orders, maintain a variation register.
• Evaluate extension of time and disruption claims, support dispute avoidance.
• Identify commercial risks, maintain risk registers and negotiate final accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in commercial, contractual and quantity surveying roles.
• Professional certifications in contract administration, FIDIC, or risk management are preferred.
• Strong work ethic, proactive attitude and ability to work independently or within a team.
