Commercial Officer – Business Development

About the role

The Commercial Officer will support Velora’s business development and commercial growth agenda across aviation, logistics, ground handling and related units. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the role drives market research, pipeline management and bid preparation to help secure new revenue and diversify the client base.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain and update the commercial pipeline, providing status and risk reports.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for senior leadership review.
• Support client engagements by creating meeting briefs, presentations and follow‑ups.
• Assist in the preparation of RFPs, tenders and commercial proposals, coordinating inputs from Operations, Finance and Legal.
• Research potential partners, perform due diligence and contribute to alliance evaluations.
• Participate in feasibility studies, financial analysis and new‑business initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with governance standards and proper documentation.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in market research.
• Knowledge of aviation, cargo or logistics commercial environments.
• Basic financial modelling and data analysis capabilities.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• High integrity, professionalism and commercial awareness.
