Commis 1 – Pastry – 5‑Star Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commis 1 – Pastry to join the pastry team of a prestigious 5‑star luxury hotel located on the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. This full‑time, onsite position offers the chance to develop your pastry techniques in an upscale hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior pastry chefs in preparing a wide range of pastries, desserts, breads and confectionery.
• Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and high quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Support inventory management, stock rotation and ordering of supplies.
• Collaborate with other kitchen departments to ensure smooth service.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Commis 1 – Pastry or in a similar role within a luxury hotel or fine‑dining establishment.
• Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking and dessert presentation.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication, organizational skills and a willingness to learn.
• Must currently reside in the UAE.
