About the role

The Ritz‑Carlton Abu Dhabi is seeking a motivated Commis 3 to join its culinary team. This full‑time position involves preparing ingredients, cooking, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment while supporting the high standards of the hotel’s food and beverage operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
• Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness, and ensure correct temperature of appliances and food.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related food preparation or kitchen experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb, and perform physical tasks for an entire shift.
• Professional appearance and ability to communicate clearly.

Required skills

• Basic food preparation techniques (chopping, portioning, mixing).
• Operation of standard kitchen equipment (ovens, grills, fryers, microwaves).
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
