About the role
The Commis I position supports the Food & Beverage operation at The Ritz‑Carlton Ras Al Khaimah. This non‑management role prepares special meals, monitors kitchen equipment, and ensures food quality and presentation in line with the brand’s Gold Standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters and maintain food logs.
- Thaw frozen food in refrigeration, portion, arrange and garnish dishes, and prepare cold foods.
- Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food usage to chefs and service staff.
- Monitor food quality and quantity, and ensure adherence to safety, security and hygiene policies.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling and coaching of team members as directed by management.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
- At least three years of related food‑preparation experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
