Commis I – Food & Beverage (Ras Al Khaimah)

About the role

The Ritz‑Carlton in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a motivated Commis I to support the Food & Beverage team at Al Wadi. You will work in a luxury hotel environment, preparing meals, maintaining food quality, and assisting the kitchen staff during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Thaw frozen food in refrigeration units and maintain accurate food logs.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnish of dishes.
• Communicate assistance needs during peak service times and inform chefs of excess items for daily specials.
• Notify service staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 3 years of related food‑preparation experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
