About the role
JA Hatta Fort Hotel is looking for a Commis I to join its kitchen team. The role suits someone passionate about food who wants to learn from experienced chefs and help create memorable dining experiences for guests.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and daily mise en place
- Prepare workstations and make sure kitchen equipment is organised and ready for service
- Help set up buffets and food displays to JA standards
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene
- Receive and organise ingredients, including fresh produce, dairy, meat and seafood
- Support the team in delivering consistent quality every day
Required profile
- Culinary degree or culinary diploma
- Intermediate food hygiene certification
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role in a 5-star hotel, or as a Commis II
- Passion for food and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and strong team spirit
Required skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic English communication skills
